Uzbekistan and Belarus expand cooperation in the field of energy

The delegation of the Uzatom agency under the office of the ministers of Uzbekistan visited Belarus on a working visit, the correspondent of the Dunyo news agency reports.

During the meeting with the Minister of Energy of Belarus Denis Moroz, the issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed in detail.

In particular, it was noted that interaction in the field of energy is constantly being strengthened. Attention was drawn to quick reforms and changes in the energy industry and the infrastructure system of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the Belarusian side expressed readiness for the interchange of practical knowledge and technological skills.

The Director of the Uzatom agency Azim Akhmedhajaev emphasized that the head of our state pays great attention to the development of the industry and set clear goals and objectives. At the same time, he added that the main task of the agency is to study the best practices of the leading countries and partner countries for the effective implementation of reforms in the industry.

The parties agreed to maximize the use of the existing potential to activate bilateral cooperation and form a working group to develop an appropriate “roadmap” based on specific goals.
