Uzbekistan places particular emphasis on the development of renewable energy sources. As noted by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country has achieved significant progress in the field of renewable energy. In partnership with international companies, Uzbekistan has commissioned large-scale wind and solar power plants with a total capacity of 5.6 GW, increasing the share of green energy in electricity generation to 30%. By 2030, this figure is expected to reach 54%.
In this regard, particular attention should be given to the annual growth in both the scale and international representation of the Specialised Section of Green Energy Technologies Central Asia – GETCA, which this year will showcase innovations and the latest technological solutions for alternative energy. The participating companies include LONGI, SOLAX, JINKO and SOLAR EAST.
Today, Uzbekistan serves as an important energy hub for Central Asia, creating a sustainable platform for regional and international cooperation. Given its international scale, Energy Week is expected to attract a large number of high-ranking guests, representatives of government institutions and industry agencies.
The UEW 2026 programme also includes G2B and B2B meetings aimed at strengthening business ties, developing practical cooperation between participants, and supporting the signing of agreements and memoranda on cooperation.
Uzbekistan Energy Week 2026 confirms the country's role as an active player in international energy processes and reflects its growing integration into the global energy agenda. The event contributes to strengthening professional ties, expanding dialogue between market participants and promoting modern approaches to energy sector development.
