Wind farms with a total capacity of 500 MW will be built in two regions of Uzbekistan
China's Universal Energy will build in Samarkand and There are two wind farms with a total capacity of 500 MW in the Jizzakh region.By a decree of the President of Uzbekistan on May 7, investment agreements on construction in the Samarkand and Two-wind power plants in the Jizzakh region.
Investment agreements with the Chinese company Universal Energy were signed on January 25. Universal Energy's subsidiaries Peak Wind Alpha and Peak Wind Beta will act as contractors for the projects. As collateral for the project, they provided guarantees from a foreign bank totaling $ 18 million.
Within the framework of each of the projects, it is planned to build wind farms with a capacity of 250 MW, as well as power transmission lines. The investor intends to allocate $250 million for the implementation of each project.
The electricity generated at these wind farms will be guaranteed to be sold to the "National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan", which commit to purchases for 25 years.
