Six “green” power plants with a total capacity of 2.4 gigawatts were launched in Uzbekistan
Solar power plants were launched in Jizzakh, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Bukhara and Kashkadarya regions, and the first stage of a wind power plant was launched in the Tamdy district of Navoi region. Their total capacity is 2400 MW.On December 27, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the solemn ceremony of launching and connecting to the network 5 solar and 1 wind power plants in six regions of the country, the press service of the head of state reported.
The event was attended by the CEO of the Emirati company Masdar Muhammad Jamil Al Ramahi, the vice president of China Energy Engineering Corporation Wu Yun, the heads of China Energy International Group Liu Zexiang and the China Gezhouba Group Lin Xiaodan, the heads of SEPCO III, Dongfang Electric Corporation and others, together with which these investment projects are being implemented.
