Pierre-Paul Antheunissens: Over the past ten years, the changes in Uzbekistan have been truly impressive.

Paul Antonissenson the eve of the 35th anniversary of state independence of Uzbekistan, I sent my sincere congratulations and good wishes through the Dunyo news agency:

- I was lucky enough to work in Uzbekistan three times. In total, I lived in the country for almost 15 years with my children and family. During this time, I witnessed the development of the country. And I must say that especially over the last ten years, the changes have been truly impressive.

We saw large-scale economic reforms that opened the country to the world and allowed us to attract investment. It was thanks to these transformations that I found myself back in Uzbekistan, because I work for EDF. Our company won a major project, and in 2022 we came to Tashkent to create the EDF Uzbekistan company and begin implementing new projects.

Today we are very active in the energy sector. We are building a large gas power plant in the Syrdarya region. We are also involved in very large-scale projects in another part of the country and hope to continue our activities. We are currently planning to build a wind power plant in the Bukhara region, as well as take an active part in the privatization of the electricity distribution system in Uzbekistan.

I must say that working in Uzbekistan is a real pleasure. And not only to work, but also to simply live. There is a wonderful climate here, very friendly and open people.

Therefore, I recommend all international companies to come and see everything with their own eyes. In addition, within the framework of the European-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and the Franco-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, we help companies, advise them and accompany those who want to invest in Uzbekistan

The country has everything you need: international schools, modern shops, shopping centers. It harmoniously combines modernity and tradition, oriental bazaars and new supermarkets. There is absolutely everything.

Therefore, I always say to all investors who still have doubts: come and invest in Uzbekistan - you will not be disappointed.

And, of course, I want to congratulate all my Uzbek friends and partners on the 35th anniversary of independence. I know that Mustakillik is a holiday on September 1, and, of course, I will be with you in Tashkent to celebrate this important event.
