Five more plants will be built in Uzbekistan that will turn waste into electricity

$625 million in foreign investment will be directed to the projects. The plants will appear in seven regions of the country with the participation of companies from China and South Korea.

After launch, they will be able to annually:

🔹 process 1.9 million tons of waste
🔹 generate 635 million kWh of electricity
🔹 save 158 million cubic meters of gas

In total, Uzbekistan plans to implement 11 similar projects worth $1.558 billion. The plants will be launched in stages in 2027–2028.
